Spanish Speakers Needed for Pantry Help
Detalhes
Descrição
Pantry Assistant
Pantry Assistants ensure our pantry shelves remain well-stocked. They also help receive and sort donations, weigh clients out before they leave, repackage bulk items into smaller quantities, make sandwiches, and organize inventory.
Check-In Desk
As the first point of contact at the pantry, check-in desk volunteers greet shoppers, facilitate the check-in process, and manage the flow of traffic to the pantry floor. Additional responsibilities include managing the coffee station, answering phones, and assisting with resource referrals.
Food access is central to well-being. Food is a universal necessity. As a food pantry committed to food access equity, we acknowledge that many within our community have historically and systematically been excluded and discriminated against. Factors include, but are not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, country of origin, language, economics, age, education, political affiliation and/or geography. We recognize that this discrimination deeply influences the accessibility of preferred, nutritious, fresh, locally produced, culturally attuned, shame-free, and abundant food. We commit to actively addressing these barriers within our food pantry to the best of our abilities.
Our sole mission is food assistance.
Harvest of Hope Pantry opened in 2012 and is the only food pantry in Boulder that serves everyone who comes to the door.
Spanish speakers needed to help with pantry assistant tasks and at the check in desk.
