Provide Companionship to Patients in the Houston Area!

Halcyon Home Hospice Houston is looking for volunteers for our Hospice patients in the Katy, Tomball, Cypress, and Cinco Ranch Areas!

Our Hospice in Houston is growing fast, and we are in need of volunteers to assist with both direct patient care and administrative assistance.

Being a Hospice volunteer is one of the most rewarding and generous acts in the whole world. As a Hospice volunteer, you play a crucial role in patient care and have an immeasurable impact— bringing peace and dignity to patients and their families.

Volunteers make this impact in a multitude of ways:

Our patient care volunteers are an important part of the patient care team, providing companionship, comfort and joy to our patients in 1-1 or group settings.

Our administrative volunteers help with the day-to-day operations, calling patients or putting together materials.

What does this look like?

Our volunteers read to patients, play music or create art with them, share stories and quality time, celebrate birthdays, and much more!

You tell us what interests you have, or any special skills you'd like to share, and we will match you to a patient with similar interests. No medical experience needed- just a caring heart! We offer flexible scheduling and provide the training and everything you'll need to feel comfortable with your experience.

How can I get started?

1. Interview: Here, we'll discuss your interests and get to know more about your goals as a Hospice volunteer
2. Application: See below for the minimum requirements*
3. Orientation: Provides an overview on Halcyon Home, Hospice, and much more
4. First Visit: Once 1-3 are complete, we will match you with a patient and accompany you on your first visit!
