    Descrição

    Campaigner — Fair Start Movement

At Fair Start Movement, a Campaigner is a change-maker and community voice. Campaigners help bring the movement’s vision of intergenerational justice, child equity, and eco-social sustainability to life by connecting with people, telling honest stories, and encouraging collective action that leads to lasting change.

This role is ideal for people who believe that children’s rights, family planning, environmental justice, and democracy are deeply connected—and who want to help others see and act on those connections.

    Role Overview

Campaigners are the heart of Fair Start’s public engagement. They work at the grassroots level—listening, learning, sharing, and mobilizing—to help communities understand how today policies affects children, families, and future generations.

Rather than working behind closed doors, Campaigners help translate Fair Start’s ideas into conversations, campaigns, and actions that people can relate to and participate in. This is a role rooted in trust, collaboration, and courage.

    What You’ll Do

    Advocacy & Community Outreach

      • Talk with communities, partners, and stakeholders about Fair Start’s principles, including child-centered family planning and equitable futures.
      • Help people understand how current systems can deepen inequality, harm the environment, and limit children’s opportunities.
      • Share and promote Fair Start campaigns—such as Tell the Truth—in ways that are clear, respectful, and grounded in real-world impact.

    Mobilizing People to Act

      • Encourage and support volunteers, supporters, and allies to get involved—online, in their communities, or through public advocacy.
      • Help organize actions such as social media campaigns, community discussions, letters to decision-makers, petitions, or peaceful public events.
      • Make participation feel accessible, meaningful, and empowering.

    Building Relationships & Alliances

      • Collaborate with organizations and movements working on children’s rights, climate justice, reproductive justice, and social equity.
      • Help strengthen networks that can carry Fair Start ideas into broader environmental, social, and human rights spaces.

    Engaging with Policy Conversations

      • Stay informed about policy discussions related to children, family planning, climate justice, and democratic accountability.
      • Help develop simple messages, talking points, or action alerts that encourage fair, transparent, and child-centered decision-making.

    Learning & Improving Together

      • Share feedback from communities and supporters about what’s working and what isn’t.
      • Help reflect on campaign outcomes and suggest ways to improve outreach, messaging, and engagement.

    What We’re Looking For

    Experience & Background

      • Experience or interest in community organizing, advocacy, civic engagement, or social justice work—whether paid or volunteer.
      • Education or lived experience related to human rights, environmental justice, public health, communications, or social change is helpful but not required.

    Skills & Strengths

      • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately—both in writing and in conversation.
      • Comfort bringing people together, facilitating discussions, or supporting group action.
      • Basic digital skills, including using social media or online tools to share messages and mobilize support.

    🤝 Personal Qualities

      • A genuine commitment to children’s rights, sustainability, and fairness across generations.
      • Respect for diverse perspectives, cultures, and lived experiences.
      • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively in a grassroots environment.

    What Success Looks Like

A Fair Start Campaigner is successful when they:

      • Build trusting relationships with communities and partners.
      • Help more people understand why children’s rights and intergenerational justice matter in policy and practice.
      • Contribute to campaigns that spark meaningful conversations, influence decision-makers, or open doors to systemic change.
