Detalhes
Descrição
Women of Victory Ministries, Inc. (WOVM) is seeking an experienced volunteer Social Media Marketing Strategist to help expand our visibility, strengthen audience engagement, and introduce our ministry to college women attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
WOVM is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that equips college women through discipleship, mentorship, leadership development, biblical education, and supportive community. Founded at Virginia State University in 2018, we currently serve students through chapters at Virginia State University, Norfolk State University, and Hampton University. Our long-term vision is to make Women of Victory known across HBCUs nationwide and create opportunities for students to establish chapters on their campuses.
Our immediate goals are to grow our Instagram audience from approximately 535 to 1,000 followers and our TikTok audience from approximately 90 to 300 followers by January 2027. We also want to increase meaningful engagement, program participation, website visits, volunteer and donor interest, and inquiries from students interested in starting chapters.
We are looking for someone who can both develop our social-media strategy and actively help us implement it. This is not limited to providing recommendations, we welcome a hands-on volunteer who can help turn the strategy into consistent content and measurable action.
Responsibilities may include:
- Audit our existing Instagram and TikTok accounts.
- Develop and implement a 90-day social-media growth strategy.
- Identify our primary audiences and establish clear content pillars.
- Create a practical posting schedule and content calendar.
- Develop posts, captions, calls to action, graphics, Reels, and TikTok concepts.
- Create reusable Canva templates that reflect our brand.
- Help edit or repurpose existing photographs and videos into engaging content.
- Schedule or publish approved content consistently.
- Recommend relevant hashtags, keywords, trends, and engagement practices.
- Engage appropriately with our online community through approved comments and responses.
- Develop campaigns promoting our programs, impact, events, volunteer opportunities, giving opportunities, and campus-chapter expansion.
- Help convert followers into program participants, email subscribers, volunteers, donors, partners, and prospective chapter leaders.
- Monitor analytics and provide brief monthly performance reports.
- Train our Marketing and Communications Committee to maintain the strategy after the volunteer engagement concludes.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in social-media marketing, digital communications, public relations, branding, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of Instagram and TikTok
- Experience creating short-form video and social-media graphics
- Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, CapCut, or similar tools
- Strong writing, storytelling, and organizational skills
- Understanding of how to engage Gen Z and college-aged audiences
- Ability to use analytics to evaluate and improve content performance
- Experience working with nonprofits, HBCUs, college students, women’s organizations, or faith-based organizations is preferred
- Respect for WOVM’s Christian identity, mission, and values
This is a remote volunteer opportunity. We are seeking an initial commitment of approximately four to six hours per week. Scheduling can be flexible, but the volunteer should be available for regular virtual check-ins and consistent campaign implementation.
WOVM can provide access to approved brand assets, photographs, videos, participant testimonials, program information, previous promotional materials, social-media analytics, and members of our Marketing and Communications Committee. All content will follow an established review and approval process before publication.
This opportunity is ideal for a marketing professional who wants to use their skills to help a growing nonprofit strengthen its infrastructure, reach more college women, and expand its impact across the HBCU community.
