Join Pierce Conservation District for a volunteer work party at South Prairie Creek Preserve on Saturday, January 31st, from 9 AM - 12 PM as we remove invasive plant species from critical salmon habitat. During the winter, we have a wonderful opportunity to dig out root balls and reduce invasive plant species competition while the ground is workable. We have planted over 46,000 tress and shrubs over the last 20 years at the Preserve, and invasive plant species control is a necessary task to give these native plants the best conditions for survival.
