Advocacy Lead

Reporting to the Director of Policy and Advocacy, the Advocacy Lead drives the campaigns that push FAR's policy goals forward, including the effort to change the US's safe country of origin designation. You'll lead a team of Advocacy Specialists as they build campaigns and the materials behind them, from planning through execution. You'll recruit and support specialists, keep the team's work moving, and coordinate closely across the Policy & Advocacy Department and across FAR as a whole.

What you'll do:

• Set campaign strategy and manage a team of Advocacy Specialists
• Oversee campaign planning, materials development, and execution from start to finish
• Recruit, onboard, and support new Advocacy Specialists
• Track campaign progress against policy goals, including the safe country of origin effort
• Coordinate with Research, Communications, and Stakeholder Relations leads

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Experience leading teams or coordinating volunteers
• Project management and planning skills
• A background in advocacy or organizing
• Strong social instincts and emotional intelligence
• Clear writing and speaking
• Some grounding in asylum, immigration, and/or human rights law (a bonus)
