📝 Volunteer Opportunity: Reservation Desk Assistant (Orange County)

Are you organized, friendly, and looking to support our local seniors? We are seeking dedicated volunteers to manage the Reservation Desk for our Senior Congregate Lunch Program at various sites!

As a Reservation Desk volunteer, you are the welcoming face that ensures our lunch program runs smoothly and that every participant feels informed and valued.

The Details:

• ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
• 📍 Location: Available at all sites offering the C-1 Program.
• 🗓️ Commitment: Weekly shifts available (Monday–Friday).

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Setting the Stage: You’ll be responsible for setting up the reservation table with essential resources.
• Warm Welcomes: Greet participants as they arrive and ensure they feel at home.
• Managing the Lunch Flow:
  • Handle sign-ins and take reservations for future meals.
  • Assist new participants with intake forms.
  • Process lunch contributions and make change.
  • Distribute lunch tickets and relevant flyers.
• Site Support: Work closely with Site Managers to assist with other small tasks as needed during the lunch program.

The Reservation Desk is the "information hub" of our lunch program. By ensuring participants have access to their rights and resources while helping them sign in for a hot meal, you are providing a vital service to our senior community.

Skills & Requirements:

• Friendly, patient, and welcoming demeanor.
• Comfortable with basic paperwork and handling small cash contributions.
• Ability to stand or sit for the duration of the 1.75-hour shift.
• Must be 16 years or older.
