Help Students Discover Career Pathways Beyond College
Do you enjoy planning events and working with a team?
We are building a Planning Team for an exciting Career Pathways & College Alternatives Event for Grades 8–12 students in Houston, Texas.
📅 Planning Team Recruitment Deadline: March 31
📍 Location: Houston, TX
🎓 Focus: Workforce & Career Success Opportunities
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS IN:
🔹 Vendor & Community Outreach
Connect with trade schools, businesses, and career programs
🔹 City & Community Engagement
Build relationships with schools and community partners
🔹 Marketing & Social Media
Promote the event and spread awareness
🔹 Volunteer Engagement
Help recruit and coordinate volunteers
🔹 Logistics & Event Planning
Assist with venue setup, layout, and operations

Our Purpose:
Expose students who are not college-bound due to financial or academic barriers to viable alternative career pathways that lead to profitable, sustainable employment, and prepare them to be competitive, workforce-ready candidates. By meeting many pathway options, the participant will gain skills through hands-on demonstrations, financial workshops, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
We propose to reach 300 students. Participating Vendors 25 Volunteers 50 Planning Team 10
