When disaster strikes—whether it’s a home fire, flood or storm—your community needs you. As a local disaster responder, you’ll be there to provide comfort, shelter and support to families in need—right in your own neighborhood.

What you’ll do:

• Respond to local emergencies like home fires and

severe weather

• Provide food, shelter and emotional support to

affected families

• Be a part of a team of American Red Cross volunteers

bringing hope to families affected by disaster.

Requirements:

• Available to sign up for shifts (4, 8 or 12 hours)
• Able to travel within 60 miles of your home
• At least 16 years old
• Flexible and adaptable in fast-changing situations
