Are you interested in joining an exciting team that presents high quality community programs? We're seeking a dynamic New Orleans-based volunteer coordinator who can assist with logistics for a special writing lab. Excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to support a community arts institution and can invest a few hours a week. African Voices Communications, Inc. is celebrating 34 years of providing excellent artistic programming in literature, art and film. Our literary magazine is being archived by Spelman College and Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series is the first women centered festival to have Academy qualifying status. Key exciting duties you will support in your role as our public program coordinator:
- Working with venues to any technical requirements are set up for our writing lab
- Supporting guest presenters and serving as a facilitator for our instructor
- Working directly with the Program Director to support event logistics
