Social Media & Content Volunteer

The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen is a growing nonprofit in Garland, Texas, working toward opening a community-supported, pay-what-you-can restaurant where everyone is welcomed and served with dignity, regardless of their ability to pay.

We are looking for a creative, social-media-savvy volunteer to help us tell our story, grow our online presence, and introduce more people to our mission.

Responsibilities may include:

• Helping create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
• Creating short-form videos, reels, stories, and posts
• Capturing content at community meals, pop-ups, volunteer events, and outreach activities
• Helping promote volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, community events, and donation needs
• Sharing the stories of our volunteers, supporters, programs, and impact
• Helping us develop a consistent social media presence and content calendar
• Bringing fresh ideas for reaching new audiences, particularly through video and emerging social platforms

We're looking for someone who:

• Enjoys social media and understands what makes people stop scrolling and engage
• Is creative, dependable, and comfortable suggesting new ideas
• Has basic photography/video skills using a smartphone
• Can communicate warmly and respectfully about people from many different circumstances
• Understands—or is willing to learn—how to tell nonprofit stories without exploiting the people being served
• Can work independently while collaborating with our leadership team

Professional marketing experience is not required. A college student, young professional, aspiring content creator, or someone who simply knows social media extremely well could be a great fit.

This is a volunteer opportunity with flexible hours. Some work can be completed remotely, with occasional in-person participation in Garland for events and content gathering.
