The Greater Chicago Ferret Association (GCFA) is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate volunteers to join our shelter family!
Whether you have a few hours a week or a couple of days a month, your time makes a massive difference in the lives of our rescued ferrets as they wait for their forever homes.
How You Can Help Make a Difference:
- Ferret Care & Socialization: Help clean cages, freshen up kibble and water dishes, supply clean bedding, and give our shelter residents the play, love, and mental stimulation they thrive on.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Adult (18 years+) animal lovers with a soft spot for small, energetic critters (no prior ferret experience required—we’ll train you in our Ferret 101 class!).
- Reliable, compassionate individuals who enjoy hands-on animal care or interacting with the public.
- Anyone looking for a fun, rewarding community with fellow animal advocates.
