Be part of the life-saving journey of a future service dog! Dogs4Diabetics is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in our training room, helping dogs learn critical scent detection skills that enable them to alert to medical conditions like low blood sugar.
As a Training Room Volunteer, you’ll work alongside professional trainers to support dogs during their scent training sessions-an essential step in becoming a certified medical alert service dog.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with scent training exercises and reinforce dog behavior
- Help maintain a calm, focused training environment
- Follow trainer instructions and safety protocols
- Work hands-on with service dogs in training
Requirements:
- Weekday daytime availability (morning or afternoon shifts)
- Comfort working around dogs of all sizes
- Ability to follow detailed directions and work as part of a team
- Must be at least 16 years old
