General Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers help with

• Writing notes of encouragement to seniors
• Friendly phoning to homebound seniors
• Office help for or special projects
• Transportation: Free transportation to vital appointments for seniors 60 and older living in the Foothills service area (must be signed up as a client with Helping Hands prior to receiving these services)
• Grocery Shopping Service: provides grocery shopping for clients unable to shop for themselves, or by themselves. For seniors 60 and older living in the Foothills service area (must be signed up as a client with Helping Hands prior to receiving these services)
• Extensive Senior Advocacy and Community Resources: information on services and support available to seniors and their families in the Yuma Community
• Social Opportunities: including friendly phone calls, notes of encouragement, social events
• Incontinence Supplies: adult briefs, bed pads, available at no cost to any senior in need
• Nutrition drinks provided free to any senior in need, while supplies last.
• Assist with Yard Sale Fundraising
