Position Overview:

As Chief Legal Officer, you will oversee all legal matters concerning BluShues Inc., providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and nonprofit regulations. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney or advanced law student passionate about using their skills for Kingdom impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise the Board and executive team on legal obligations, risks, and compliance matters
• Review and draft contracts, MOUs, and organizational policies
• Ensure the organization complies with local, national, and international nonprofit laws
• Provide legal counsel on intellectual property, employment law, and data privacy
• Help safeguard the organization's integrity, mission, and operational structure
• Support in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical stewardship

Qualifications:

• Law degree (LL.B., JD, or equivalent) required; license to practice law in the US is preferred
• Prior experience with nonprofit or faith-based organizations is an asset
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit governance, contracts, and risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High ethical standards and alignment with Christian values and mission of BluShues Inc.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 4-6 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
