    The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.

    The Leaders Assessment Center (LAC) is a testing facility that conducts competency, personality and knowledge-based assessments for potential candidates, and a passing grade is required in order to be considered for any Representative positions.

    Reporting to the Director, Bureau of Management, the Director LAC leads and develops a comprehensive institutional assessment facility to support the IYF's mission and strategic initiatives. S/he designs, directs, and supports recruitment administrative processes and related activities that demonstrate institutional effectiveness.

    Mission Statement

    To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee LAC nomination process and support related arrangements;
    • Plans, organizes, and coordinates strategic assessment programmes, projects, and activities;
    • Develops and establishes operating goals, policies, and procedures for the assessment center, as appropriate; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency;
    • Supports continuous assessment processes (curricular and co-curricular activities) and improvement of staff learning through consultation, mentoring and hands-on training;
    • Interprets assessment findings and prepares an annual assessment report to summarize such findings, with particular emphasis on the quality of the assessment efforts and findings that influence institutional decision-making and policy development;
    • Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to existing operations, systems, and procedures;
    • Coordinate the selection process, including documents preparation and the administrative process, in collaboration with the Bureau of Management;
    • Manage information systems and databases, including analytical reporting for the LAC, Representative pools and on performance management;
    • Produce data visualization on IYF leadership trends, including Representative’s selection and appointment, diversity, and pool compositions;
    • Identifies learning opportunities, and conducts research on latest learning approaches, technologies and innovations to support the Representative system development;
    • Leads and supervises LAC personnel, to include work allocation, training, and problem resolution; provides performance management feedback as appropriate and;
    • Promotes internal and external communication of assessment results;

    Language

    Advanced English skills are required.

    Experience

    Experience managing or leading assessment centers OR early career experience AND possess a relatable degree, such as HR, organizational psychology, HR psychology, occupational psychology, or industrial-organisational psychology (I/O) (I-O).

    Experience within an NGO, non-profit, INGO (such as the United Nations), government, charity, international development, or youth empowerment organisation is ideal for this role.
