Join Prism Design Lab’s Board of Directors

Prism Design Lab is a growing nonprofit arts education organization based in Durham–Chapel Hill. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to see themselves as creative thinkers and designers of their world. Through hands-on workshops in schools and community spaces, we introduce students - especially those historically underrepresented in art and design fields - to architecture, community design, and creative expression.

We are seeking new members to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will help guide Prism’s mission, strengthen our partnerships, and expand opportunities for youth in our region. Board members contribute their time, expertise, and networks to support fundraising, strategic planning, and organizational growth.

Ideal candidates are committed to equity in education and the arts, bring diverse perspectives, and are eager to be active stewards of Prism’s mission. Prior nonprofit board experience is welcome but not required. We especially encourage individuals with backgrounds in education, design, fundraising, law, finance, and community organizing to apply.

Serving on the board is a meaningful opportunity to help shape a young organization that is already making an impact, and to support the next generation of artists, architects, and leaders.
