Recruitment (Handshake) Intern

Position Summary

Supports the Recruitment Department by assisting with recruitment efforts conducted through the Handshake platform. Works under the guidance of the Recruitment (Handshake) Team Lead to help manage job postings, candidate communications, and application tracking. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals interested in recruitment, human resources, or talent acquisition. No prior experience is required. Training and guidance are provided.

Joining a Congressional Campaign

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with creating, posting, and updating job, internship, and volunteer listings on Handshake
• Support monitoring of applications and candidate inquiries within the platform
• Help track recruitment activity, application status, and follow-up actions
• Assist with coordinating candidate communications and interview scheduling as directed
• Support collaboration with Human Resources and hiring teams
• Help ensure recruitment postings follow organizational standards and guidelines
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling applicant information
• Provide general administrative support to the Recruitment team
