Volunteer Driver Pajama Pickup - April 30th - One Day

Thousands of school students around central Maryland are donating pajamas at their school’s #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty drive and we need your help getting all of those pajamas to our office! We are looking for folks who can help us pickup pajamas at schools and bring them to our office in Columbia, MD on April 30th.

We have 80 schools signed up to participate in #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty this year, which is amazing news! Many of them have already started collecting pajamas and most of them will be wrapping up their pj collection on April 24th, so we can pick them up on April 30th! Last year, we brought in more than 16,000 pairs of pajamas through this campaign, with more than 10,000 pairs coming from schools! So, it is a lot of schools, and a lot of pajamas, and we need your help!

A few things to know:

1. You will need a car! A big vehicle is great, but even just a regular car can pickup smaller collections from schools. Some schools will collect 25 pairs of pajamas, others will collect several hundred – we will try to assign you schools who’s pjs will fit in your vehicle.
2. You will need a valid drivers license or State issued ID to present at each school.
3. This volunteer opportunity will require some lifting! Most pajamas are packed in boxes or trash bags, so they aren’t terribly heavy, but they do require some muscles to get them in your car.
4. We will try to assign you schools in a central location that makes sense for you to pickup. Most of the school pickups are within an hour of our office in Columbia.
5. After you pickup of the pajamas from your school(s), you will head down to Casey Cares office in Columbia to drop them off and marvel at all the pjs!

1. Your address (sometimes was can send you to schools close by, and we will if we can)
2. What hours you can help on the 30th (we will be going from 7:30-4:30)
3. What kind of car you drive
