We are seeking at least one veteran who would be willing to serve as a volunteer on an as-needed basis. This role would include visiting veteran patients when available and, on occasion, leading a brief Valor Ceremony—a 10-minute tribute thanking the veteran for their service. The ceremony may include a branch-specific song or spoken words, along with presenting a certificate and pin provided by us.
Unlike our regular volunteers who typically serve at least one hour per week, the Vet Volunteer role offers flexibility, requiring only availability to support when a veteran patient is in need. Of course, if you wish to serve more regularly, you are welcome to do so.
All volunteers complete an application, background screening, Relias training, and a veteran-specific orientation. Veterans should have copy of DD214 form. You are provided with a company badge, shirt, and treated as part of our team, receiving recognition through annual celebrations, newsletters, thank-you cards, and other tokens of appreciation.
