Location: West Rogers Park, Chicago (Hybrid – mostly remote with monthly in-person outings)
Organization: The Well of Mercy
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours per month
Volunteer (Unpaid)
The Well of Mercy is a nonprofit transitional housing program supporting single mothers and their children as they rebuild their lives through education, employment, and long-term stability.
We are launching a new Mentorship Program centered on authentic female relationships. This is not about “fixing” or advising — it’s about consistent companionship, mutual respect, and showing up. Mentors commit to building a one-year relationship with one mother, offering encouragement, steady communication, and shared experiences.
What it looks like:
- Weekly check-in (text or call)
- One monthly shared cultural activity (many free — no spending required)
- Monthly staff support check-ins
- Quarterly group gatherings
We’re looking for warm, dependable women who can offer stability, healthy boundaries, and genuine connection.
