Contribute to a Compassionate Community - Be a Volunteer Driver in Kent

Every day our volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of people 60 and older in their community. If you enjoy giving your time to help others and believe transportation serves connection, independence, and assurance, we want to hear from you!

Volunteer drivers for Sound Generations' Volunteer Transportation Services, using their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement is an option), help older adults maintain their independence by taking them to and from medically necessary appointments. Riders are enormously grateful for their improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind.

This is a very FLEXIBLE volunteer opportunity: drives choose how many rides they want to provide, what day and time, and to what area they want to drive. They provide a personalized touch and companionship in driving seniors "door to door"-- from their home to appointments.
