About AHY

A Healthier You, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We provide holistic wellness programs including yoga, meditation, workshops, and community outreach that focus on mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and social well-being.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Vice President of the Board to join our leadership team. The VP will work closely with the Board President and Executive Director to help guide AHY’s mission and support organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Board President and Executive Director to set priorities and oversee initiatives
• Attend monthly leadership meetings with the President and Executive Director
• Attend quarterly Board meetings
• Provide guidance and oversight on fundraising and community engagement
• Support Board governance and ensure alignment with AHY’s mission
• Step in to support or represent the President when needed
• Help identify new partnerships, sponsorships, and opportunities for AHY

Commitment

• Must be located in Prince George’s County, MD
• Attend monthly evening leadership meetings and quarterly Board meetings (virtual or in-person)
• Estimated time commitment: 6–8 hours per month

Qualifications

• Passion for holistic wellness and community health
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, governance, or community engagement preferred
• Ability to collaborate with diverse community partners
