Kitchen Care Crew — Deep Clean Wednesdays

At Kathy’s House, the kitchen is more than a place to prepare meals — it is a space of comfort, connection, and normalcy for families navigating medical crises. Our Wednesday Deep Clean Kitchen Volunteer plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for every guest.

In this role, you will:

• Deep clean appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, coffee areas)
• Dust and sanitize countertops, cabinets, handles, and high-touch surfaces
• Clean inside refrigerators and discard expired items (per guidelines)
• Scrub sinks, backsplashes, and food prep areas
• Sweep floors, mop as needed.
• Restock basic supplies as needed

Time commitment: Wednesdays (approximately 1–2 hours; flexible)

Why it matters: Guests rely on a clean kitchen to prepare meals that feel familiar and comforting during an uncertain time. Your thorough care helps protect their health and create a peaceful space where families can simply be together.

Ideal volunteer:

Dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with hands-on cleaning tasks, and able to work independently. No prior experience required — just a willingness to serve with care and compassion.
