    Descrição

    Volunteer Administrative Program Coordinator

Faith Paws Partners, Inc. is a new and growing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cats and dogs through partnerships, foster care, volunteerism, education, and advocacy.

We are seeking a dependable, organized, proactive, and self-motivated Administrative Program Coordinator to join our Operational Team and provide consistent administrative and program coordination support.

This volunteer will work directly with the Executive Director and help keep day-to-day administrative responsibilities, program activities, projects, meetings, records, deadlines, and follow-up organized and moving forward. The position also works collaboratively with other Operational Team Volunteers as needed. This reflects the coordination and cross-team support already built into the official position description.

    Responsibilities May Include

    • Maintaining calendars, deadlines, reminders, assignments, and follow-up trackers
    • Organizing electronic files, documents, records, contact information, and shared folders
    • Preparing and updating documents, spreadsheets, trackers, meeting materials, checklists, and other organizational materials
    • Assisting with the coordination and implementation of developing programs and initiatives
    • Maintaining program action items, milestones, pending decisions, and follow-up needs
    • Helping coordinate meetings, assignments, materials, handoffs, and deadlines
    • Providing administrative and program support to other Operational Team Volunteers as directed by the Executive Director
    • Supporting approved outreach, community activities, events, and partnership follow-up
    • Keeping the Executive Director informed of completed work, pending assignments, deadlines, and items requiring attention or decisions

These responsibilities stay within the role you already established: the Administrative Program Coordinator helps organize and implement approved work but does not independently take over specialized research/data responsibilities or make organizational commitments.

    Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

    • At least 21 years old
    • Dependable, responsive, organized, and detail-oriented
    • Proactive and comfortable identifying follow-up needs and practical next steps
    • Able to work independently while staying aligned with the Executive Director’s priorities
    • A strong communicator with good organizational and follow-through skills
    • Comfortable managing multiple assignments and deadlines
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and common office technology
    • Professional, dependable, and able to maintain appropriate confidentiality
    • Genuinely committed to animal welfare and supporting cats, dogs, and the people who care for them

Previous experience with administrative support, program coordination, nonprofit organizations, volunteer coordination, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, community outreach, or animal welfare is helpful but not required.

    Time Commitment & Location

Approximately 8–10 hours per week, ideally spread across at least three weekdays. The schedule offers flexibility, but consistent availability during the workweek is preferred so assignments and follow-up can continue moving between Executive Director check-ins.

This is a primarily remote/virtual volunteer opportunity. Familiarity with the Washington, DC–Maryland–Northern Virginia (DMV) area is strongly preferred, as Faith Paws Partners, Inc.’s current work and community activities are focused in the DMV region.
