Companionship volunteers sit with patients to talk, read, play music, play games, do crafts, watch TV or just provide some much needed company. They may even be able to take the patients outside for some fresh air.
Volunteers make their own hours and decide how much time they would like to volunteer. Most visits are 1-2 hours. Any time that you are willing to give to our patients is wonderful.
Volunteers aren't caregivers and can not provide hands on care.
We provide orientation and training so that volunteers feel comfortable from the very start.
