Associate, Marketing Campaigns (Dogs Matter)

Virtual Volunteer Position

Dogs Matter is a unique and innovative 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide the needed services and support to gain long-term sobriety and stability, and provide a healthy and loving environment for their pet. Dogs Matter is the only non-profit agency in Texas offering free temporary foster care placement and aftercare support services specifically for pets of people with addictions receiving substance abuse treatment.

Dogs Matter has become a department of Dallas Pets Alive (DPA). With over 350 Volunteers on more than 10 teams, we have numerous opportunities for you to join our mission. As our Marketing Campaigns Volunteer, you’ll help us create and execute engaging campaigns that raise awareness for our mission and work. You’ll help develop strategies, design content, and measure results. From planning events to creating email and social media campaigns to tracking results, you’ll help us amplify our message and connect with our community in creative and innovative ways.

Team: Dogs Matter

Location: Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation.

Reports to: Dogs Matter Social Media Manager, Director of Operations and Executive Director

Works with: The Dogs Matter team, DPA staff and volunteers, and our community

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our team to build marketing campaigns that engage our audience and boost awareness for our cause.
• Help create compelling content (social media posts, emails, ads, etc.) that highlight our pets and their stories
• Assist with campaign tracking and reporting to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Brainstorm new and creative ways to connect with potential adopters, donors, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Creativity and experience in marketing
• Previous nonprofit experience is a plus!
• Strong communication skills with a passion for storytelling
• Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and digital advertising
• Experience with Classy and Better Unite (our fundraising platforms)
• Excellent at problem-solving and tech support on META and other fundraising platforms
• Excitement about furthering our mission and bringing fresh ideas!
• A team and service-oriented mentality
• Embrace Dogs Matter’s mission and values
• Ability to work virtually with regular access to and ability to access a computer or mobile device
• Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a major bonus!
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare.
