Sometimes the greatest gift you can give is simply your presence.

Amedisys Hospice of Murfreesboro is seeking Hospice Patient Companion Volunteers to provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support to patients facing life‑limiting illness. As a companion, you will help ensure that no patient feels alone by offering kindness, conversation, and a calming presence during their hospice journey.

🤍 What Patient Companion Volunteers Do

• Spend quality time with hospice patients through friendly visits
• Offer companionship, conversation, or quiet presence
• Read aloud, listen to music, or engage in gentle activities
• Provide respite and reassurance for patients and families
• Support dignity, comfort, and emotional well‑being
• Work alongside the hospice interdisciplinary care team

No hands‑on medical care is required. Your role is to be present, compassionate, and supportive.

🌼 Who Should Volunteer

• Caring, patient, and dependable adults (18+)
• Individuals with strong listening skills and a compassionate heart
• Those comfortable supporting individuals at end of life
• Respectful of confidentiality and personal boundaries
• No prior hospice experience needed. Training is provided.

📍 Volunteer Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
