Remote Volunteer Grant Writer | International Nonprofit & Humanitarian Programs

Posterity International is seeking two Grant Writers to help secure institutional funding for our programs, initiatives, and organizational growth.

This ongoing remote volunteer opportunity is designed for strong researchers and persuasive writers interested in nonprofit grant writing, fundraising, international development, humanitarian action, human rights, philanthropy, and proposal development.

Grant Writers will work with organizational leadership and program team members to identify aligned funding opportunities and translate Posterity International's work into compelling, evidence-based proposals.

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the financial sustainability and growth of an international nonprofit while developing substantive experience across the grant-development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Research foundations, institutions, corporate funders, and other grant opportunities
• Assess opportunities for alignment with Posterity International's mission, programs, and funding needs
• Draft letters of inquiry, concept notes, grant applications, and full proposals
• Work with leadership and program partners to gather necessary information
• Translate program objectives, evidence, budgets, activities, and anticipated outcomes into persuasive proposals
• Maintain grant calendars and track application and reporting deadlines
• Develop and maintain reusable organizational and proposal language
• Support grant reporting and funder communications as needed

Who We're Looking For

Strong candidates have excellent research and persuasive writing skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex programmatic information into clear and compelling narratives.

Previous grant writing, proposal development, nonprofit fundraising, or professional writing experience is strongly preferred but not required.

We're looking for people who understand that successful grant development requires both persuasive storytelling and evidence. Candidates should be capable of independently managing assignments, communicating proactively, meeting external deadlines, incorporating feedback, and producing polished, submission-ready work.
