The Advisory Board provides strategic guidance, subject-matter expertise, and community insight to support the mission and long-term sustainability of Gervonni Cares. Advisory Board members do not have fiduciary or legal governance responsibilities. Instead, they serve as trusted advisors to leadership and the Board of Governance. We are looking for grant writers, workforce development, fundraising development, and housing stability advisory boards.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory Board Members will:
- Provide professional expertise (e.g., housing, workforce development, education, finance, legal, philanthropy, marketing, or community engagement)
- Offer strategic advice on programs, partnerships, and organizational growth
- Serve as ambassadors for Gervonni Cares within the community
- Assist with relationship-building, introductions, and potential funding or partnership opportunities
- Participate in quarterly advisory meetings and occasional working sessions
- Review and provide feedback on:
- Program expansion ideas
- Community needs and service gaps
- Strategic plans and initiatives
Time Commitment
- Minimum 5 hours per month
- Includes meetings, preparation, and occasional outreach or strategic support

Advisory Board Does NOT:
- Vote on organizational bylaws or finances
- Carry fiduciary or legal responsibility
- Manage daily operations
