Volunteer Fundraising Assistant

Description:

As a volunteer at YesLiberia, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our impactful work and make a difference in the lives of Liberian youth. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of individuals who are passionate about youth development and community empowerment. We are currently seeking a proactive individual to serve as our volunteer Fundraising Assistant. In this role, you will work alongside two of our board members on various engagement strategies and administrative fundraising tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with the leaders of our fundraising team and other volunteers to help coordinate and implement strategies for raising funds
2. Help create and design contents for fundraising including major sponsorship programs
3. Assist with communications, planning and coordinating virtual meetings with funders, social media followers, board members, etc.
4. Support the fundraising team and participate in team meetings with other volunteers and donors as necessary.
5. Help engage past and existing donors to improve or build relationships; respond to donors’ inquiries via email, virtual meetings, traditional mailing, and/or phone calls.
6. Support colleagues with virtual fundraising events management and delivery via emails, social media and our donation platform
7. Help cultivate donors stewardships, and ensure the donors’ database is up to date with accurate information
8. Support with prospect research.
9. Help train other volunteers on fundraising tasks and activities as needed.

Requirements:

1. Video Experience in a supporter engagement/customer service role, engaging with supporters or customers and providing an exemplary engagement experience
2. Interest in starting or developing a career in fundraising
3. Confident using mailing list, donors databases,
4. Strong communications and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written; adept at copywriting, with the ability to influence people.
5. Familiar with Google Workspace like google sheet, google doc.
6. Solid organizational skills including consistency, accuracy, and an eye for detail.
