Help Prepare Meals That Make a Difference

Join the Nourish Meals on Wheels kitchen team and help ensure hundreds of local older adults receive nutritious, freshly prepared meals each day. As a Meal Packaging Volunteer, you'll play a hands-on role in preparing meals that support the health, independence, and well-being of our clients.

This is a fun, fast-paced volunteer opportunity for individuals who enjoy teamwork, staying active, and making a meaningful impact in their community.

What You'll Do:

• Package desserts and meal accompaniments
• Prepare and package customized special meals
• Portion regular meals into trays
• Seal, label, and organize meals for delivery
• Pack meals into insulated delivery bags
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and organization after meal preparation is complete

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for extended periods (60–90 minutes at a time)
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check
• Must follow all County, State, and Federal food safety and handling guidelines
