Are you tech-savvy and looking for a place to apply your skills in a meaningful way? Our Savior Lutheran is seeking a volunteer with sound and IT experience to support our worship services and special events.

Overview

Our Savior Lutheran Church is looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy individual to join our volunteer team as a Sound and IT Support Person. Someone who can jump in with confidence and is excited about using technology to support ministry. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with a purpose-driven team and contribute to a dynamic worship environment.

If you have a heart to serve and enjoy working with audio equipment, computers, and basic troubleshooting, this is a great opportunity to use your skills for ministry.

Key Responsibilities

• • Operate the soundboard during Sunday services and special events
  • Ensure microphones, monitors, and speakers are functioning properly
  • Set up and manage audio/visual equipment (e.g., projectors, screens)
  • Support presentation slides (e.g., ProPresenter, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues with equipment or livestream setup
  • Coordinate with worship and media teams for smooth service flow
  • Arrive early to set up and test equipment before service

Ideal Skills & Qualities

• • Experience with soundboards or willingness to learn
  • Basic computer/tech troubleshooting skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Calm under pressure during live services
  • Able to work well in a team and follow directions
  • A heart to serve and support the ministry behind the scenes

Time Commitment

• • Sunday Mornings: Typically, 2–2.5 hours before and during service
  • Occasional midweek support for rehearsals, services, or events (as needed)
  • Flexible scheduling and team rotations available

Tech Savvy
