Volunteer Fundraiser

The TheoRose Center, Inc., aims to provide comprehensive case management, training, and referral services to financially disadvantaged youths and their families. Our objective is to help this population escape the bonds of poverty and homelessness by providing referrals for housing, medical, mental health, and back-to-school opportunities, as well as training and life skills that will empower them to successfully move into the mainstream of society. As a newly established 501(c)(3) organization in the startup phase, we are looking for a passionate, strategic Volunteer Fundraiser to help us secure the initial resources needed to launch these critical programs.

The Role & Impact:

In this role, you will help design and execute our very first fundraising framework. You will work directly with our leadership to identify funding streams, build donor relationships, and establish the infrastructure needed to support our mission of breaking the cycles of poverty and homelessness. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to shape our organization from the ground up and directly impact families in need.

Core Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with the founder to design an initial 6-month fundraising plan.

Prospect Research: Identify potential individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation grants focused on youth development, poverty alleviation, and housing stability.

Outreach & Appeals: Help draft compelling donation appeals, sponsorship packages, and digital fundraising campaigns.

Donor Infrastructure: Assist in setting up a basic donor tracking system or CRM to manage relationships effectively.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in fundraising, development, sales, or marketing (nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required).

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to tell a compelling story about our mission.

Self-motivated and comfortable working in a collaborative, startup environment.

Deep passion for empowering disadvantaged youth and families.
