Adopt-a-Binky-Bag (At Home Volunteer Opportunity)
Detalhes
Descrição
Binky Patrol is a national nonprofit organization that provides handmade blankets to those facing illness, natural disasters, and other traumatic circumstances.
Our Lexington/Woodbridge chapter hosts seasonal in-person events called Bink-a-Thons, where volunteers assemble blankets for distribution to community partners.
We are currently looking for volunteers to Adopt-a-Binky-Bag prior to our upcoming event on March 21, 2026 at Loudoun County Public Library-Cascades.
What Volunteers Do:
- Sign up to receive a bag of unprepared blankets (each bag containing materials for approximately 15 blankets)
- Prepare blankets by following simple instructions and equipment provided.
- Return completed kits at in-person event on March 21 at Cascades Library, or arrange for pick up/drop off with Caitlin Peterson-Woolard by March 20.
Prepared blankets will be assembled into finished blankets at our Bink-a-Thon and donated.
Adopt-a-Binky-Bag is a flexible opportunity that allows students and community members to volunteer from home. This is an accessible way to make a tangible impact in a child’s life, perfect for students, families, and groups looking to contribute to a meaningful difference. Service hour verification is available and encouraged for those who want a flexible, at home way to help the community at large!
