Gentiva Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers in Mount Vernon to help support and honor our veteran patients receiving hospice care.

Many of our patients are veterans who have served our country with courage and sacrifice. Through companionship, recognition ceremonies, and meaningful moments of connection, our Veteran Volunteers help ensure these heroes feel valued, respected, and never forgotten.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

• • Visiting veteran patients for companionship and conversation
  • Participating in veteran recognition ceremonies and pinning presentations
  • Writing cards or letters of appreciation
  • Providing emotional support to patients and families
  • Sharing stories, listening, and creating meaningful memories
  • Supporting fellow veterans through shared experiences and understanding
