Volunteer Website Manager: WordPress + Elementor

Help us keep our website useful, welcoming, and efficient.

Our Safe Space US is looking for an experienced, confident website volunteer who can take ownership of the ongoing operation and continued development of our WordPress website.

Most of the work is straightforward website maintenance. Updating information. Adding events and content. Fixing the sometimes more-than-occasional add-on glitch. Making sure everything looks good and works the way it should.

But thinking bigger is needed, too.

We have new pages and programs on the horizon, growing visibility through Google and Meta, and a creative team with plenty of ideas. We need a website person who can help turn all of that activity into a clear, engaging, and easy-to-navigate online home.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and update our WordPress website
• Work comfortably within Elementor
• Add, edit, and format pages as needed
• Troubleshoot basic website problems - usually Meetup event connectivity.
• Collaborate with our Google Ads and Meta volunteers to create or improve landing pages and website language
• Strengthen calls to action, page titles, headings, and other website copy
• Recommend practical improvements to the website’s structure and performance
• Keep an eye out for things the rest of us may not know to notice

We’d Love Someone Who

• Has solid, hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor
• Understands basic SEO principles
• Enjoys collaborating with people in different roles
• Is comfortable figuring things out independently
• Can identify a problem, suggest a solution, and follow it through
• Has a good eye for clean, accessible, user-friendly design
• Communicates clearly and reliably with our AMAZING 100% volunteer team

A working knowledge of website forms, analytics, integrations, Google Ads landing pages, Meta advertising, accessibility, security, backups, or performance optimization would be great. It'll make collaborating with our team nothing but pure joy.

Bonus points for being fearless about learning.

About Our Safe Space US

Our Safe Space US is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Southern Arizona and an expanding online community.

We provide free educational, personal growth, creative, wellness, and community-building programs designed to help people learn, connect, and thrive. Our programming includes workshops, book clubs, writing groups, discussion groups, wellness activities, social gatherings, and community service projects.

We primarily support those who identify with feminine energy, while welcoming anyone seeking positive opportunities for connection and self-discovery.

Our organization is growing, our calendar is busy, and our website needs someone who can help it grow right along with us.

Time Commitment

We anticipate an average of approximately 3 to 5 hours per month, with additional time occasionally needed when new pages or projects are underway.

This is a remote volunteer position. We communicate regularly and value responsiveness, teamwork, initiative, and a healthy sense of humor.
