Respite/Companionship Volunteers (Brighton and Broomfield Area)

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply being there.

Intermountain Health Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide companionship visits to hospice patients in their homes.

As a companion volunteer, you might:

• Sit and visit with a patient
• Share conversation and stories
• Listen to music together
• Read aloud or enjoy a favorite activity
• Offer a comforting, caring presence
• Give family caregivers a little time to recharge

What we ask of our volunteers: • A minimum 6-month commitment

• Approximately 1–4 hours per week
• Completion of Hospice Volunteer Orientation
• Required health screening, including TB and drug testing, provided at no cost
• Proof of required vaccinations, including MMR, Tdap, Varicella and annual flu vaccination

No medical experience is needed. We provide orientation and support—you provide the compassion, companionship and gift of your time.
