Wetland restoration, with soil and geology talk

Non-native Himalayan blackberry and French broom are invading a wetland on a preserve owned by the Land Trust of Napa County, though it is still in the early stages and easy to clear. That's why we want to get it done now, before it becomes too big to overcome! Soil conservationist Chip Bouril and Land Trust Stewardship Assistant Val Kostelnik will also lead a short soils and geologic tour of the Linda Falls preserve, tying together freshwater springs with past volcanic history all the way to present day habitat assemblage.
Meet at 8:50am at the Angwin Market for a short (5 minute) drive to the Preserve.
Bring: water, sunscreen, pants, long sleeves, smiles!
We will provide: gloves, tools, snacks
We will return to Angwin Market at 12pm.
