At Gift of Life Howie's House, we aim to maintain a supply of food and household goods for our guests when they need them. Keeping the House stocked requires a lot of donated food and supplies. Hosting a Wish List Drive with a group of friends, family, coworkers, schoolmates, or whoever is an excellent way to support Gift of Life Howie's House. For health and safety concerns, we ask that all donated items be new and unopened.
Currently, we are in most need of the following:
Food:
- Milk
- Eggs
- Fresh Fruit
- Pre-Packaged Snacks: chips, popcorn, trail mix, cookies, peanut butter crackers, etc.
- Breakfast Items: cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, protein bars
Household Goods:
- Laundry Detergent (Liquid Only)
- Fabric Softener
- 10/12 oz disposable coffee cups and lids
- Hand Soap
- Liquid Dish Soap
- Dish Detergent (Liquid or Pods)
- Dinner Size Napkins
- Travel-Sized Toiletries, i.e., shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, deodorant
- Kitchen Supplies: Ziplock Bags (snack, sandwich, quart, gallon), Plastic wrap, parchment paper, aluminum foil, sponges
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels

We recommend the following steps to start a drive:
- Identify a collection area, box, or person for people to bring the items to.
- Inform people of the collection and what items to provide.
- Here is a link to our current Wish List for you to use. You can also provide this link to our Amazon Wish List and the items will be shipped directly to us.
- Once you’re ready to drop-off the collected items, call the Front Desk at (267) 546-9800 to let us know what day and time you plan to stop by with the items.
- Depending on the amount collected, you will either bring the donation through our front door or through our loading dock at the rear of the building. This will be discussed and planned with you during your phone call with the desk.
- At the time of delivery, we ask that an In-Kind form be filled out either in person or online here.
- This includes donations that were made online i.e. Amazon, Walmart, etc.
