    Descrição

    Hope Missionary

Don’t let your college years be ordinary. An extraordinary summer of faith, purpose, friendship, and meaningful formation is waiting.

    What Is A Hope Missionary?

The Hope Missionary Program at Cornerstone of Hope is a paid, faith-filled summer experience designed for college students who want to live out their faith in a real and meaningful way while gaining formation and hands-on learning in the fields of social work and grief psychology in a camp and workplace setting.

    • Live in community with other missionaries
    • Serve children, teens, and families impacted
    • by grief
    • Grow spiritually, personally, and professionally
    • Step outside the noise of everyday life and into something that matters

    Who is Cornerstone of Hope?

Cornerstone of Hope is a non-profit comprehensive bereavement support center that exists to walk alongside people in grief; offering support, education, and hope when it’s needed most. Since 2003, we provided a safe, compassionate space where people can express their grief honestly and begin to move forward with renewed strength and purpose.

Our services include therapy, counseling, and support groups led by licensed clinicians and Master’s-level interns under professional supervision. Our team brings deep experience in grief and trauma care, and we welcome all who are seeking support, regardless of background or circumstance.

    What You'll Do

    • Serve at four Cornerstone of Hope youth bereavement camps
    • Learn from and work with licensed counselors and social workers
    • Support camp operations and program activities
    • Work directly with children and teens who are grieving
    • Take part in shared responsibilities of daily community life
    • Engage in faith formation, reflection, and intentional community living

    Why This Matters

College is full of noise. Endless opinions, constant comparison, pressure to figure everything out, and more paths than you know what to do with. In the middle of it all, it’s easy to feel uncertain about where you’re going, what truly matters, or how to live out the faith you hold.

The Hope Missionary Program invites you to step away from autopilot and into something intentional. Something grounded. Something that stretches you beyond yourself.

This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about choosing growth, service, and community. It’s about allowing your faith to be lived, not just believed, and discovering how God can shape you through presence, purpose, and people. If you’re longing for a summer that forms you, challenges you, and leaves a lasting mark, this is an invitation to say yes.

    Life in Community

Hope Missionaries live and serve together, sharing:

    • Daily life and responsibilities
    • Prayer and reflection
    • Meaningful conversations and friendships
    • Support, encouragement, and growth alongside peers

You won’t just serve together. You’ll grow together.

    Who Should Apply?

This program is ideal for college students who:

    • Want to do more with their faith
    • Feel called to serve others in meaningful ways
    • Are looking for a professional internship that’s combined with a summer camp experience
    • Are open to learning about grief, loss, and compassionate presence
    • Desire community, purpose, and spiritual formation

    Our Mission

The purpose of the Hope Missionary Program is to serve as a beacon of hope and faith in a grieving world by offering compassion, support, and meaningful presence through service and outreach.
