    About MAD

    Make A Difference Inc (MAD) is a non profit making organization working to improve opportunities for young people and communities through education, skills development, and empowerment initiatives. We are seeking a Grant Programme Volunteer to support our team in identifying grant opportunities and strengthening grant applications.

    Volunteer Role Summary

    The Grant Programme Volunteer will support MAD to research funding opportunities, prepare grant application materials, and improve proposal quality under guidance from the MAD team. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit development work and grant writing.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Grant Research and Opportunity Mapping
    • Search and shortlist relevant grant opportunities (foundations, embassies, international and local donors).
    • Review eligibility criteria and requirements.
    • Maintain a simple tracker of opportunities, deadlines, and required documents.
    1. Grant Application Support
    • Support drafting and editing of concept notes and grant proposals (with guidance).
    • Help organize and compile required attachments (workplans, budgets, M&E sections, organizational documents).
    • Ensure submissions align with donor guidelines and deadlines.
    1. Documentation and Quality Support
    • Help improve internal templates for proposals and grant applications.
    • Support basic data organization for proposals (key indicators, outputs, outcomes, statistics, simple tables).

    Required

    • Strong English writing and editing skills.
    • Good organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Preferred

    • Experience or interest in grant writing, research, or project development.
    • Basic skills in Excel/Google Sheets (for trackers and simple budgets).
    • Interest in education, youth development, or community empowerment work.
