Sailing & Racing Coordinator

Role Summary

The Sailing & Racing Coordinator works directly with the Director of Operations & Events to organize PBWR’s competitive sailing and training calendar. This role is ideal for a university student or recent graduate interested in sports management, event coordination, and sailing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and scheduling race events and practice sessions.
• Coordinate crew rosters and manage communication with team members.
• Ensure race registration, safety requirements, and equipment needs are met.
• Liaise with yacht clubs, race committees, and event organizers.
• Support the integration of marine science and sustainability efforts into racing activities.

Qualifications

• Current university student or recent graduate in sports management, maritime studies, recreation, event planning, or related field.
• Knowledge of sailing or racing preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable working weekends for race events.
