Want to learn grant writing by actually doing it — for a real 501(c)(3), with real submissions? NTARI's volunteer grant desk was built as a teaching workflow.

You pick a funding opportunity from the research board, study the organization offering it, and write a short narrative connecting what you fund to one of NTARI's twelve projects or something entirely new. Peers and the workspace administrator review it and approved narratives advance to full proposals developed against the funder's own guidelines — with a final review before anything is submitted.

Along the way you learn the whole lifecycle: prospect research, the narrative case, letters of inquiry, full proposals, and the practical difference between grants, fellowships, and fundraising. Working examples exist on every project — federal narratives, foundation LOIs, sponsorship packets — and each comes with a researched plan so you practice on real material, not exercises.
