    Descrição

    Marketing Architect (Products) — Volunteer (5–10 hrs/week | 3+ Month Minimum)

    A Free Bird • Fully Remote • 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

A Free Bird is a New York–based nonprofit dedicated to empowering children diagnosed with cancer through artistic expression. Our mission is to provide young people with the tools, support, and inspiration to explore their creative passions — from music and writing to painting, acting, and beyond.

We are seeking a Marketing Architect (Products) to help build, refine, and optimize the structure of our marketing ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting strategy with execution, building systems, and designing marketing frameworks that elevate visibility, engagement, and long-term growth.

If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for marketing infrastructure, digital organization, and creative problem-solving, this role is a perfect fit.

    Role Overview

The Marketing Architect (Products) designs and manages the foundational systems that support A Free Bird’s marketing and communications. You will collaborate across departments to create consistent branding, streamline workflows, improve campaign materials, and shape the architecture that powers our digital presence.

This is a volunteer position, requiring 5–10 hours per week, with a minimum 3-month commitment (extensions welcome).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain structured marketing systems, templates, and documentation to support campaigns and organizational initiatives.
    • Work with the Marketing Coordinator, PR team, and Graphic Designers to ensure brand consistency across all channels (digital, print, social, and web).
    • Design frameworks for campaign planning, content packaging, asset storage, and cross-department communication.
    • Create and optimize marketing materials, briefs, and workflow documentation for future reuse.
    • Partner with team leads to translate marketing goals into actionable project structures and timelines.
    • Analyze marketing needs and propose improvements to processes, tools, and communication pathways.
    • Support ideation and rollout of new campaigns, products, and digital content formats.
    • Ensure all marketing outputs align with AFB’s brand identity, messaging standards, and mission.

    Qualifications

    • 1–2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, brand strategy, digital media, or related fields.
    • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills; ability to create clarity and structure.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities.
    • Understanding of marketing workflows across digital and traditional media.
    • Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with design or content platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and manage several priorities simultaneously.
    • A creative problem-solver with a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for nonprofit impact.

    Additional Information

    • This is a volunteer, remote position.
    • Requires access to a computer, reliable internet, and availability for 1–2 weekly virtual check-ins.
    • Ideal for someone looking to expand marketing architecture, campaign development, and strategic operations experience within a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
