Hospice Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of hospice care. At Oasis, we deeply value our volunteers and recognize the compassion and strength it takes to serve individuals and families at the end of life.

Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking compassionate, dedicated volunteers who want to make a meaningful difference in their community. If you feel called to provide comfort, care, and support when it matters most, we invite you to apply!

As an Oasis Hospice Volunteer, you will be an integral member of our interdisciplinary care team, supporting both patients and their families through a variety of services.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

• Patient care (in-home visits, facility visits, inpatient unit social support)
• Respite care
• Patient and family wellness calls
• Light household chores
• Running errands
• Administrative and office support
• Creative contributions (knitting, scrapbooking, art, photography, music, etc.)
• Special events

We offer flexible scheduling options, allowing you to volunteer on a fixed or adaptable schedule that fits your availability.

Position Qualifications:

• A mature individual who supports the hospice philosophy
• Comfortable with personal spirituality and serving others with compassion
• Completion of Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care’s volunteer training and orientation program
• Previous volunteer experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• For home visits: must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance in accordance with state requirements
