The Buddy Program is an initiative that aims to provide people living with HIV (CarePartners) with practical and emotional support provided by TIHAN volunteers. The Buddy Volunteer will provide practical support to CarePartners with a variety of needs. This could include transportation assistance and other in-home non-clinical support needs. This is a great opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility for individuals living with HIV, and help to strengthen the programs and services that TIHAN provides to CarePartners.
Specific Tasks may include: Providing transportation to; TIHAN events/groups, medical appointments, community resources, or other places approved by TIHAN staff. Providing in home assistance such as; dog walking, light housekeeping, meal delivery, grocery shopping, assisting with trash & recycling cans, assisting with errands, and other similar activities.
We are currently recruiting volunteers for this program that we anticipate will start in March 2026. Please contact us for more information.
