BLACK’s advisory committee exists to help the organization raise funds, tap into existing community resources, and use their networks and relationships to integrate the BLACK projects within other community activities. Meetings are held quarterly and last approximately 1.5 hours. Members are responsible for their own transportation to meetings. The advisory committee meets as a body and, on occasion, forms subcommittees to explore issues in greater detail for consideration by the full advisory board. Recommendations are forwarded to the Chairman and the Board of Directors
