SOAR 431 Foundation and Humanity First Healthcare Solutions are dedicated to supporting formerly incarcerated individuals, their families, and communities affected by systemic injustices. We provide mental health services, case management, advocacy, and educational programs designed to break cycles of incarceration and improve overall well-being. We are seeking a highly skilled Content Creator to help amplify our mission through compelling digital storytelling, social media engagement, and strategic content creation.

Job Overview

The Content Creator will be responsible for developing and managing high-quality, engaging, and mission-driven content across multiple digital platforms. This role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for social justice, mental health, and community advocacy. The ideal candidate should have experience creating impactful content that drives engagement and promotes awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit high-quality content, including blog posts, articles, newsletters, press releases, and social media posts.
• Manage and grow the organizations' social media presence across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Create compelling graphics, short videos, and multimedia content to support campaigns, programs, and advocacy initiatives.
• Plan and execute content calendars to ensure timely and consistent messaging.
• Conduct research and interviews to highlight community stories, program impacts, and key social justice issues.
• Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of content with organizational goals.
• Track content performance metrics and optimize strategies based on engagement data.
• Stay updated on industry trends, digital media best practices, and emerging social media trends.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a content creator, digital marketer, or similar role.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Proficiency in social media management and content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).
• Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
• Experience with video editing software (e.g., CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for social justice, mental health advocacy, and community empowerment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations, especially those focused on reentry, mental health, or social justice.
• Familiarity with grant writing or fundraising campaigns is a plus.
