Role Overview:

Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers provide companionship and understanding to hospice patients who have served in the military. This role honors shared service, fosters trust, and ensures veterans feel recognized and respected at end of life.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• • Visit hospice patients who are veterans
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and presence
  • Participate in veteran recognition activities when available
  • Collaborate lightly with the hospice care team

Annual Volunteer Requirements:

• • Background check
  • TB screening
  • Required immunizations (per policy)
  • Annual orientation & training
  • HIPAA & safety education
